Groene waterstof, geproduceerd door middel van water elektrolyse en hernieuwbare energie, belooft de energiedrager van de toekomst te worden. De meest bekende WE technologie varianten zijn op dit PEM- en Alkaline water elektrolyse, maar beide hebben specifieke voor- en nadelen. De Anion Exchange Membrane (AEM) technologie, belooft het beste van PEM en Alkaline in zich te hebben verenigd. Maar is dat ook zo? Tijdens deze webinar deelt dr. Creus Casanovas, wetenschapper en AEM lead bij TNO, zijn inzichten in hoeverre AEM deze verwachtingen waar kan maken.

The Elektrolyser Makers Platform NL kindly invites you to our monthly technology webinar, focusing on renewable hydrogen related topics. These free access webinars are meant to stimulate the knowledge exchange by direct interaction with the experts and among the community members.
The coming webinar will be held in English on Wednesday, 20th of March 2024, from 4 to 5 PM (CET) and will focus on ‘Recent developments in the field of AEM water electrolysis technology’.
Green hydrogen, produced through water electrolysis and renewable energy, promises to be the energy carrier of the future. The most common WE technology variants are PEM and Alkaline – both having specific (dis)advantages. The Anion Exchange Membrane (AEM) technology is expected to combine the strengths of PEM (high performance, hydrogen purity, compactness) and of AWE (low cost, PGM-free). But… does it? During this webinar, Dr. Creus Casanovas, scientist and AEM lead at TNO, will bring some insights on the state-of-the-art of the AEM technology and the challenges to accelerate its development.
